Hyperthyroid disease is caused by an overactive thyroid. Many cats seem to contract this disease. Buck Mountain Botanicals used to make a product called Thyrolyte that contained these 3 ingredients and worked well for hyperthyroidism.

Ingredients to be given at the same time
Levo-Carnitine- Thyroid inhibitor; provides cardiac support and can help with weight loss in overweight pets
- Suggested dosage: 20 to 45 mg per pound of body weight daily.
Lemon Balm Extract- Lemon Balm is a mild sedative and analgesic. It has antiviral activity: herpes simplex virus (HSV), HIV-1 and a variety of other viruses.
- Suggested Dosage - is One cc per 50lbs weight three times daily. Dose down for smaller animals. For example a 10 lb animal would take approximately .2CC or 4 drops daily. (1cc/50lbs = X/10lbs= 0.2cc.) Conversion from CC to drops can be found online.
Bugleweed Extract-Hyperthyroid support. Bugle weed binds thyrotropin and Graves thyroid stimulating immunoglobutin(TSI) and precludes receptor activation. It is mild for hyperthyroid conditions.
- Suggested dosage for cats is 3-8 drops twice per day for mild hyperthyroid conditions
